Siding (cont., pg. 4)
Stucco
Stucco is a cement-based plaster that is either sprayed on or hand-applied with a trowel.
  |
Stucco can be applied directly to concrete block or to metal screen attached to a wood-framed house.
Stucco can be applied in smooth or textured surface.
It can be tinted to add color, or painted.
Stucco requires minimal maintenance, but it can crack or chip. |
|
Patching stucco is relatively simple.
The trick comes in matching the color of the patch to the original surface color.
Stucco is comparable in cost to brick.
The skill of the contractor is vitally important in achieving a lasting, durable job.
Be sure to check samples of his work.
