Painting (cont., pg. 4)
What You Need To Do
● Hire an experienced, licensed, insured painting contractor with good references ─ whom you actually called. Make the hire well in advance of when he’ll be needed.

â—Ź Make selections of brand of paint, grade of paint, colors, and type of finish.
It’s not uncommon to be unhappy with a paint color when you see it on the wall. The color never looks quite the same as you thought it would when you were picking from color swatches at a paint store.
You can help avoid this problem by painting samples on walls before spending several hundred bucks on color-mixed paint which you can’t return.
Buy three quarts of paint. One of the color you choose, one a shade darker, and one a shade lighter. Put samples side by side of each on a wall and you’re much more likely to be happy with the finished color.

Your agreement with your painter will most likely have him furnishing the paint. Give him your selections as soon as possible.
