Waferboard
A sheet wood product, typically 4x8 ft, made of scrap wood flakes chemically bonded together under pressure, used as a less expensive alternative to plywood.

Weep Holes
Openings in the mortar of brick veneer houses, typically spaced 32” apart, to provide means of air circulation and evaporation in the cavity between brick and sheathing.
Whole-House Air Filtration
A system designed to clean circulated air within a house, reportedly removing allergens and some pathogens.
Whole-House Humidifying
A system designed to amplify the natural humidity of circulated air within a house.
Window Sash
The sliding, tilting, or swinging framed glass section of a window.
Window Tape
Also known as “window wrap.” An elastic, weatherproof tape used to cover the exterior flanges of windows, providing an airtight, moisture-proof seal.
Wire Mesh
Interlocking strands of steel wire, used to reinforce concrete and minimize cracking.
Workman’s Compensation Insurance
Also known as “workman’s comp.” A type of insurance which compensates for medical expenses and lost wages for workers injured in job related duties.
