Corner Bead
Metal or plastic molding used in drywall finishing to produce smooth, square, and stronger wall corners.
A type of house foundation in which concrete block walls are used to elevate the floor level, typically between 24” – 40” above ground level, with the space between floor and ground being accessible and used for location of plumbing, wiring, and heat and air ductwork.
Crown Mold
A type of interior trim molding, used for decorative effect in corners formed by walls and ceiling, consisting of single or multiple levels.
Cultured Marble
A limestone or marble based product, mixed with resin and engineered to form a solid-surface countertop material, most commonly used in bathrooms.
Curb Appeal
A term that describes a subjective grade of the visual appeal of a house as viewed “from the curb,” generally applied to houses that are for sale.
Cut Pile Carpet
A type of carpet featuring cut ends of looped pile yarn, the most common form of residential carpet.

Deadwood
Lumber pieces added to ceiling joists to provide nailing surface for drywall.
Decking (roof)
Plywood or waferboard sheets, nailed to rafters, which provide nailing surface for shingles.
Decorative Concrete
A general term for any type of floor, driveway, sidewalk, or patio concrete which is stamped,
etched, stained, colored, or engraved in any way for decorative effect.
