 - Layout and dig footings, install rebar (if not already done by a separate footings contractor).
- Lay concrete block for crawlspace or basement wall (masonry contractor)
- Install rebar, anchor bolts, vapor barrier, stone – all components of what will be the finished foundation.
- Pour and finish concrete.
What You Need To Do For Concrete Slab
- Meet on site with your contractor. Stake the foundation corners, making sure they are within the building lines marked by surveyor.
- Order materials he will need: rebar, anchor bolts, poly vapor barrier, crushed stone ─ which serves as a base beneath concrete floor. He should provide his own concrete forms.
- When footings are dug and forms in place, bring in the plumber to rough-in water and sewer lines.
- Plumber should call for inspection when he is finished.Â
As soon as plumbing inspection passes, your foundation subcontractor can continue.
