Flooring (cont., pg. 6)

What Your Flooring Subcontractor Will Do

It depends.  If you are providing your own materials and hiring a subcontractor for labor only, his only requirement is to show up and do a good installation job.

In such a case, you will provide not only the finished flooring product, but also whatever glue, grout, or fasteners are required.

It’s possible to find very good deals on flooring materials bought in bulk.

Buying your own material and hiring labor only, or doing some labor yourself, could be the overall least expensive way to get a total flooring job done.

But that is not guaranteed to be the case.  A package deal with a larger flooring company could be actually be cheaper.

One stop flooring companyThe One-Stop Flooring Way

A really good way of handling your flooring needs is to hire a retail flooring company.

They will have a showroom full of wood, tile, and carpet selections.

Here you will meet with one sales representative who will guide you through the entire process and handle everything.

Such a company will provide the finished flooring, all materials necessary for installation, and all installation labor.

They will also go to your job site and measure the quantities needed.  They will provide a warranty for all materials and labor.

They will do all of this for one contract price, calculated on a cost-per-square-foot basis.
