Decorative and Stamped Concrete
A really good look, but a more costly one, can come from decorative concrete.

The top two photos show the result of forms pressed into wet concrete to create a pattern.
Stain is later added, giving the effect of brick pavers at much lower cost than actual brick.
Decorative concrete can be made to look like brick, tile, or stone by stamping, engraving, or stenciling in multiple textures. |

Tinting, dying, and acid-staining are used to create a wide variety of looks.
Another option is “exposed aggregate.â€
As shown in the lower photo, concrete is poured and the top layer is removed, exposing the stone aggregate below.
An attractive stone finish is left, which may be coated to give a glossy look. |
